Syrian Sovereign Fund Participates in Lebanese-Syrian Investment Forum and Highlights Its Role in Supporting Investors
The Syrian Sovereign Fund (SSF) participated in the Lebanese-Syrian Investment Forum 2026, held at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut on 23 September under the patronage of Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun. According to the Forum’s official website, the event brought together more than 300 business and economic figures.
SSF was represented by Mr. Yasser Kahf, Director of Development and Planning, who joined the panel “Financing the Economy of the Future: Investment, Capital, and Restoring Confidence” alongside officials and experts from Syria and Lebanon.
During the session, Kahf outlined SSF’s role in supporting investment, facilitating entry into the Syrian market, and helping manage investor expectations amid rapidly evolving economic conditions. These efforts contribute to establishing clearer avenues for cooperation and converting available opportunities into executable projects.
The Forum provided a platform for public- and private-sector representatives to discuss investment opportunities, reconstruction, transport, ports, technology, and ways to advance economic partnerships between the two countries.
SSF’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening direct engagement with investors, expanding regional cooperation, and supporting investments capable of revitalizing economic sectors and delivering sustainable development impact in Syria.
