EMPC and the University of Aleppo Sign Cooperation Memorandum to Advance Scientific Research and Practical Training
EMPC Integrated Engineering Industries, a Syrian Sovereign Fund company, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Aleppo to strengthen links between academic education and practical industrial applications, support student research, and develop hands-on skills.
The memorandum focuses on establishing field-training pathways by hosting students and researchers at EMPC’s factories and production facilities. It also provides for technical support for selected graduation projects and the exchange of engineering expertise, enabling students to benefit from available industrial capabilities and technologies and apply their knowledge to solutions that address local production requirements.
Following the signing, a university delegation headed by the President of the University of Aleppo toured EMPC’s manufacturing complexes and production lines. The delegation reviewed the company’s engineering solutions and operational capabilities used to address technical challenges and serve a range of vital sectors.
The partnership supports efforts to empower Syria’s industrial sector and strengthen its connections with academic institutions. It is also expected to contribute to developing young talent and better aligning higher education outcomes with development priorities and labour market needs.
